The nation flower is cherry blossams in Japan.
It is the flower which is the most familiar in Japan.
It is a flower symbolizing spring.
It can be classifiled roughly into two different types.
One is native to Japan from old times as 山桜(Yamazakura).
The other is made better as garden plants.
染井吉野(Someiyoshino) is a typical example.

It is used for the crests such as the police or the Self-Defense Force.
